Healthy Snacks


One of our friends asked for a quick list of easy to make foods to dominate when you find yourself really, really hungry (read: munchies.) I've put together a list of paleo-ish, healthy-ish foods for your eating pleasure:

1. beef jerky
2. fruit smoothies
3. nut-based granola
4. carrots and hummus
5. nuts
6. chips and salsa
7. frozen banana slices
8. tuna salad on lettuce
9. peanut butter
10. low-sugar yogurt

Do some of these foods not jive with your current eating habits? Don't eat them. Remember- the Crossfit prescription is eat meats and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, no sugar. No one diet is perfect for everyone, there are way too many variables. In case you're wondering, I basically only have two eating guidelines in my diet: 1) No gluten, 2) more often than not, choose savory over sweet.
